The tappet plate is an essential part in the operation of any AEG. The tappet plate feeds BBs from the magazine into the bucking and  inner barrel while also allowing the compression unit to expel the air requires to propel the BB.

The tappet plate serves as the bridge between the gears and compression unit is vital in a gearbox's functions and is a part that must be replaced every so often.
